Chairman Jiang Bingkun and president Chen Yunlin turn up for the ribbon-cutting
On the morning of March 29, Chen Yunlin, counselor of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (former director of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and former president of the Association for Relations across the Taiwan Straits) and Jiang Bingkun, chairman of the Cross Strait Economic and Trade and Cultural Exchange Association (former chairman of Straits Exchange Foundation) went to Lunan High-tech Chemical Industrial Park in Tengzhou, Shandong to jointly take part in the completion ceremony for Zhongfeng Chemical’s project on the
annual production of 20,000 tons of cellulose acetate which was completed in Lunan Chemical Company of Yankuang Group.
It is learned that Zhongfeng Chemical Co., Ltd. is a joint venture enterprise run by Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao enterprises and enterprise in mainland China. The company’s leading product is cellulose acetate whose annual output amounts to 20,000 tons. This project is the first one that has been cooperated between Lunan Chemical of Yankuang Group and enterprise of Taiwan. Lunan Chemical holds 9.09%’s share and Taiwan Nature New Materials Co., Ltd. holds 90.91%. Besides, the project relies on the public works of Lunan, and the construction is led by Zhongfeng Chemical. Construction of the project started in August 2016. Through joint efforts of multiple sides, civil construction, equipment installation, debugging and trial run of the first stage was finished in a matter of seven months. The project’s construction period, quality, safety and so on all rank the first level.

During the completion ceremony, Chairman Jiang Bingkun who had come to mainland China for the 150th time remarked that he was full of confidence on completion of the above-mentioned project in Tengzhou and on the cooperation with Yankuang Group.
General Manager Li Wei indicated that Yankuang Group would go all out to contribute to cross-strait economic and trade cooperation and to bring about the coordinated development of both sides. The acetic anhydride product of Lunan Chemical, as material supplier of the cellulose acetate project, will further strengthen auxiliary support of public works in the future and will render full support and assistance on the production, operation and other work of Zhongfeng Chemical. All this is aimed at making sure the project realizes the targeted production and profit and at offering all-round and all-weather guarantee to make sure the project is outstanding and competitive.
Wang Kezhang, Chairman of Taiwan's Nature New Materials Company and Zhongfeng Chemical Co., Ltd., expressed his gratitude to all parties for their support and consideration for the development of Taiwan-funded enterprises in the Mainland. The project will be constructed in two phases, of which an annual output of 20,000 tons, two with an annual output of 10,000 tons. After the completion of the first phase of the project, it is estimated that annual sales income will be 330 million yuan, profits and taxes will be 31 million yuan and 120 new jobs will be added. The market prospect is bright with outstanding economic and social benefits. The company will also continue to research and develop innovative, in addition to the existing cellulose acetate applications, but also strive to develop new areas of various uses, such as sunglasses frames, tool handles, women's hair clips and mask non-woven and so on.
